The Japanese archipelago is blessed with a rich diversity of environments, defined by clear waters, vibrant natural colors, and seamless seasonal changes. Water reflections create a kaleidoscope of scenery, while the translucent sunlit leaves form natural stained glass in seasonal hues.

The photos span from the scenic rural landscapes in Hokkaido and Kyushu to the sprawling metropolitan cityscapes in Tokyo. The metropolis is a massive nest built by humans, and thus its cityscapes can be seen as extensions of the Earth's nature.
