A Kaleidoscope Formed by the Water
Water reflections freely paint pictures on the natural canvas of the water’s surface, often intertwined with drifting leaves and floating petals. On fine days, the sunlight sparkles across the water, multiplying into countless miniature suns.
Objects are more or less deformed by ripples and waves, resulting in mirror-image mountains, vague landscapes, or heavily distorted trees. While fine details are obscured, the reflection simplified scenes into their essential structures, resembling a painting enhanced by the water’s clarity. Occasionally, the visual textures of water reflections amplify the atmosphere of the scenery, transforming the view into an almost different dimension. This fragile and ever-changing space functions as a natural kaleidoscope.
The organic artistry can be observed at numerous scenic spots across Japan, including the center of metropolitan Tokyo.
